Last Thursday the 29th Gaby got to travel to Blanding for the big rival game which was made even worse by the fact that we were their homecoming game. The Lady Devils had a rocky start by losing their first two games to Blanding but with our amazing crowd, which was probably just as big as their crowd, and the girls heart we managed to pull an upset and win the next 3 games to beat the Broncos on their home court. Now I know this post is not going to please everyone, especially those that I'm related to but I have to tell you that it was the most exciting game I have been to in a long time. I just can't help it if I'm a Devil through and through. ;)
Trea also travel for football this last Saturday playing in Cortez which was also an amazing game. Our defense was amazing. We had these little guys that were hitting like they didn't realize the person across from them was a good 50 lbs heavier then them. Trea had some awesome tackles and is just really fun to watch. We ended up losing the game in overtime but all in all it was a really great game and I was glad I got to go and watch him play.
Jade had a volleyball game last night and she did a really good job. Her serves are awesome. In fact I don't think there is a person in her league that can pass one back. I think they just hope that she hits the ball out or in the net so they can get a side out which hardly ever happens. All I can say is that it's a good thing they only let each player serve 3 points or it may just be a complete shut out. She is also really good at following the pass and getting the ball to the setter which the rest of the team doesn't really know what to do with yet, but at least she knows that is what you're suppose to do in volleyball. Jade's team won their match in two games so that makes a 2-0 record for their team.
I really do love watching my kids play their different sports. They really seem to enjoy themselves and it really is a blast seeing your kids have fun doing what they love. That's all folks, until next time. ;D

Kids and Their Sports
This month has been a very busy one for the kids and the activities they participate in. Gaby has had several volleyball games and tournaments that she has had to travel out of town for so we have not been able to see her much. I did get to go to a couple of her games against Emery and against Richfield. I love watching her and her team. They are a great group of girls and they work really well together. They have been struggling a little their last couple of games but I think they are just trying to get use to some changes in their line ups and adjusting some positions more to their abilities.
Jade is also playing volleyball and she is very good at it for her age. She has really worked hard this last year on her serves and her passing and it has really paid off. She had her 1st game of the season last night and her team did way better then we thought. She had an awesome game though. She had some amazing serves and a couple of really good volley's going. She also had a very good dig, which wasn't to graceful but it got the job done.
Trea is playing tackle football for his 2nd year now. His team has had a couple of games now and they are starting to get everything figured out now. They had a few problems in their 1st game with the offense but they traveled to Blanding last weekend and beat one of the teams down there 7 to 0. I didn't get to go but Kyle said that Trea had some amazingly hard hits. I don't think he was lying because the next day I saw the proof with the bruises all over his body. He a tough kid though and says that he didn't even know he had them till I said something. Maybe he's just being tough for his mom.
So that is pretty much what we have been up to this last month. I will try and keep everyone posted but as you can see we're just trying to find time to breathe. Haha!

Gaby's Junior Year 2011
This is the start of Gaby's junior year in high school and it still is shocking how fast the time has gone by. Gaby is playing volleyball this year and is happy to be playing on the varsity team for Moab. As I try and get this whole blog thing figured out I will post more information about Jade, Trea and the rest of our family. Let's just hope it starts making sense sooner rather than later. ;D
Sure hope this starts making more sense. :(
Still trying to design my own blog and I have to say that it is a little frustrating. I'm not really sure how to post things yet and I don't know how to get it to where my friends and family can, if they like, get updates on what is going on in our lives. This is just a sample message to see if I can actually get this page to work. Wish me luck!

The Start of Something New
Starting our newly designed family blog and I hope it turns out because I spent way too much time trying to figure this whole thing out. I hope it only gets easier from here.
